Program Coordinator – Safe Parking Oceanside

Hourly Pay: $27.00

The Safe Parking Program Coordinator is responsible for developing, planning, organizing, implementing, and coordinating a variety of activities related to the Safe Parking Program that serves individuals living in a vehicle. The Coordinator will work collaboratively with the Program Manager, and partnering agencies to ensure project goals are met and accomplished. The Coordinator is responsible for daily program operations.

Responsibilities

  • General daily oversight of program operations, staff, interns and volunteers
  • Return potential client’s messages
  • Assign clients to a program site
  • Track each site’s enrollment numbers and manage wait list when necessary
  • Attend community meetings
  • Develop community partners to support client needs
  • Facilitate case consultation meeting with program staff and interns
  • Collect and report outcomes and demographic data
  • Coordinate meal services and donations ensuring distributions to each site
  • Order supplies for sites
  • Provide site support and additional case management support as needed

The incumbent must have proficient knowledge in the following areas:

  • Federal, state and county public assistance programs
  • Community resources
  • Homeless services
  • Trauma informed care
  • Outcome driven programming

Skills

The incumbent must demonstrate the following skills:

  • Preferred Bachelor’s Degree in Social Services, Human Services, or similar degree, or related field experience required.
  • Must have a minimum of 2-3 years in program services
  • Demonstrates good judgment and has the ability to work independently and as a part of a team
  • Be driven to succeed, organized, proactive, innovative, responsible, assertive, and flexible
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Have the capacity to effectively and efficiently handle multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously
  • Must be able to work collaboratively with staff, program partners and volunteers
  • Must possess a solid understanding of data collection and program evaluation
  • Must possess a valid CA driver’s license with clean driving record

Part Time Lead Cook

Hourly Pay: $18.50

The lead cook works within the Dreams For Change Workforce program. The Part Time Lead Cook will be supporting the food truck with transporting inventory, drop off of laundry, cooking/preparing lunches Monday-Friday and dinner deliveries on Saturday. This position will also require supervising and training of 1-3 trainees from the Workforce program.

Case Manager – Safe Sleeping

Hourly Pay: $21.00 - $24.00 plus benefits

The Case Manager is responsible for providing advocacy, information and referrals for participants within the DFC homeless service programs of either Safe Parking or Safe Sleeping. Multiple positions available with both first and second shift. Part-time positions are second shift.
