Every day, participants in our Safe Parking and Safe Sleeping programs face tough choices, such as between gas and groceries, or medication and a meal. For many, access to three meals a day is not guaranteed. That’s where you can help.
We invite individuals, families, community groups, faith-based organizations, and businesses to host a meal, coffee break, or special treat for our program participants. Whether it’s a simple sandwich spread, a homemade casserole, pizza night, or even a themed holiday dinner, your act of kindness provides more than just nourishment. It fosters dignity, community, and connection.
Hosting is simple and meaningful. You choose the meal, bring serving supplies, and arrive early to set up. Staying to serve the food isn’t required, but we encourage it. Sharing a meal and a few kind words with participants helps break down isolation and builds trust.
Want to go beyond food? Some hosts bring care packages or organize light activities to share joy and build community. We also welcome donations of blankets and tarps; every bit helps.

When you host a meal, you do more than feed someone; you remind them they’re seen, supported, and not alone.
